Living in History
The election is over and history has been made. Who would have thought that my generation would experience such a monumental event? I’m sure everyone can’t understand why African Americas feel about America the way we do, especially those who grew up in a time where we were not treated as equals. This election touched me in many ways, one, it showed the world that African Americans are more than the stereotypes they like to portray. We can be educated, and we are leaders. Although I know the road ahead will not be a smooth one, I have faith that this moment will set new standards for us as a whole. GOD BLESSES AMERICA!!!!

It definitely was a monumental and emotional experience. Now, that we have had time to celebrate it is time for us to get to work. Obama can't do it all on his own. We have to use the momentum of this event and capitalize on it within our communities and our personal lives. It is truly time for us to step or game up, and show everyone that we truly can be whatever we choose to be.
