Where is Chris Brown's music on the Radio???

Has anyone heard Chris Brown’s new CD “Graffiti”? I have and it’s actually a good CD, but I’ve noticed that none of his songs are getting radio, or club play. Which brings me to the questions: Why? Is he being judge by his creativeness? Or is he being judge by his personal life? I’m a huge basketball fan, and I remember when Kobe Bryant was being accused of rape. People still came to the basketball games and supported his play, even if they did not like his personal decisions. If our lives were public, would people accept all that we do? Would there be things in our lives that we would rather deal with privately? People make mistakes and some bigger than others, but doesn’t everyone deserve a second chance? We put celebrities in a fantasy world when they are human just like the rest of us. They are not perfect, they are not born role models, and they have struggles. What do you think?

The Law

One of my facebook friends posted something the other day that caught my attention. A 17 year old African American male was dating a 15 year old Caucasian girl. The two engaged in sexual activity, which her parents did not approve of. They pressed charges against this young man, and now he is a registered sex offender. That story brought me back to another story I heard, a 19 year old boy was dating a 15 year old girl with the mother’s approval. The mother even allowed him to live with her and her daughter. One day the mother and the young man had a dispute, so she went to the police and reported him, not for the dispute but for the relationship he was having with her daughter. He too is a registered sex offender. Now years later he is married to and has children with the same women he was accused of statutory rape. This brings me to the question: When you hear the words “sex offender” what do you think? I know I think of child molesters and rapist. It’s seems unfair for someone to have to live a life titled “sex offender” if they have not committed any sex crime. It’s time for that law to be looked at and amended in my opinion. What do you think?
