Where is Chris Brown's music on the Radio???

Has anyone heard Chris Brown’s new CD “Graffiti”? I have and it’s actually a good CD, but I’ve noticed that none of his songs are getting radio, or club play. Which brings me to the questions: Why? Is he being judge by his creativeness? Or is he being judge by his personal life? I’m a huge basketball fan, and I remember when Kobe Bryant was being accused of rape. People still came to the basketball games and supported his play, even if they did not like his personal decisions. If our lives were public, would people accept all that we do? Would there be things in our lives that we would rather deal with privately? People make mistakes and some bigger than others, but doesn’t everyone deserve a second chance? We put celebrities in a fantasy world when they are human just like the rest of us. They are not perfect, they are not born role models, and they have struggles. What do you think?

The Law

One of my facebook friends posted something the other day that caught my attention. A 17 year old African American male was dating a 15 year old Caucasian girl. The two engaged in sexual activity, which her parents did not approve of. They pressed charges against this young man, and now he is a registered sex offender. That story brought me back to another story I heard, a 19 year old boy was dating a 15 year old girl with the mother’s approval. The mother even allowed him to live with her and her daughter. One day the mother and the young man had a dispute, so she went to the police and reported him, not for the dispute but for the relationship he was having with her daughter. He too is a registered sex offender. Now years later he is married to and has children with the same women he was accused of statutory rape. This brings me to the question: When you hear the words “sex offender” what do you think? I know I think of child molesters and rapist. It’s seems unfair for someone to have to live a life titled “sex offender” if they have not committed any sex crime. It’s time for that law to be looked at and amended in my opinion. What do you think?

My Time

I can’t complain cause while the worlds running around insane
I’m blessed with God on the brain
Every day he is the only one to keep me safe
Don’t need smiles in my face if it’s fake
People acting concerned only to take my words and run
Ya’ll aint ready for me to blatantly speak what I’m really thinking
I tried to spare your feeling but now I’ve been pushed to the limit
You cowards gonna catch it, the realist gonna feel it and the weak can’t deal with it

Living in History

The election is over and history has been made. Who would have thought that my generation would experience such a monumental event? I’m sure everyone can’t understand why African Americas feel about America the way we do, especially those who grew up in a time where we were not treated as equals. This election touched me in many ways, one, it showed the world that African Americans are more than the stereotypes they like to portray. We can be educated, and we are leaders. Although I know the road ahead will not be a smooth one, I have faith that this moment will set new standards for us as a whole. GOD BLESSES AMERICA!!!!

This is it, heres your chance to have a voice, to be apart of History. No one cares about those who complain, but do nothing. Dont be fooled by the media, or scared by ignorance. Our future is what we make it. Make sure when you vote, it's for what you believe in, set aside non-important issues and vote for growth and change.

IT'S LAKER TIME!!!!!!!!!

The first game of the season and i must admit i was a little bored. They made such a big hype about Oden and he did nothing spectacular. Kobe really did not look like he was in it. But we won that's all that matters! I love the Bynum and Gasol mix, Bynum provides that aggressive hustle in the middle that we need and Gasol, well that soft touch and outside shooting is beautiful. The Trever and Jordan combination is also amazing. I love that Jordan worked on all his weaknesses over the summer to come back and be a better player. The true test for me will be when we play the Celtics. I saw some of their game last night and those boys are monsters with aggression on the defense. Lamar Odom will shut the haters up this season for sure!!!

Cant wait for the Lakers season to begin!!!!

So, i've been watching all the pre-season games and i must say my team is looking good. We all had confidence in Jordan Farmar, but he is really being aggressive and i love it. Everyone was hating on my BOO Lamar Odom, but we must admit that he is a great player, i know consistancy is important, but Rod has not been consistant either. Trever OMG, i am so glad that he is better. Trever and Jordan work very well together along with Lamar. So my question is, who should start and who should be the 6th man?
